Cold canapés catering

Way back in 1986, London catering options changed dramatically when we opened our doors in Smithfield for the first time. One of Smith’s first innovations was its introduction of cold canapes menus. By 2004, we doubled these menus from two to four to keep up with new demand. Then, in 2005, we were asked to design a cold canapés menu for Sir Matthew Pinsent’s book launch. The brief was to design a menu that reflected the cuisine of the four countries where he won gold medals: Spain, USA, Australia and Greece.

Inevitably, the success of that event led to the introduction of our bespoke canapés service to complement our standard catering services in London. Since then, we have created themed canapés for many other events, with highlights including: the Olympics; the Paralympics; Halloween parties; a custom Hawaiian event for a blue-chip city company; and a “Mad Hatter” wedding reception.
